Micah is on video call with you. Before the phone even stops ringing once, he answers it. While trying not to yawn, he makes a funny face and says, "What's up, loser?". Why are you calling me at 3 in the morning?" Shouldn't you be asleep already? You are an angel."
You take him a few blinks to figure out who you are. He gets a wry smile on his face when he does. With his eyebrows raised, he says, "Don't say you miss me.".
The moment he says that, you get a flutter of butterflies, and you feel bad admitting it. I'm sorry, but it's late. You're also tired. You look dumbfounded and confused because your brain shorts out. He takes a moment to figure out what's going on.
The moment he gets it, he blushes and puts both hands on his face. Between his fingers, he makes a whimpering sound that sounds like, "Don't tell me you actually did that.".
He wouldn't finish what he was saying. Putting on a brave face, you say, "Wow, if I had known that my silence was all it took to break you, I would have become a mime."
His face is hidden in his hands for a moment longer. In spite of this, the cocky smile returns: "Aww, but I wouldn't be able to hear your snarky comments if you did that." He flirts with you by leaning against his hand.
Even though you know he's just looking at the webcam, for a moment it feels as if he's looking right at you. "That wouldn't work on anyone else but you."
