How does Rusty Lake The Past Within Apk work?
We are beyond thrilled to share Rusty Lake The Past Within with you all, our newest collaboration.
Our team has been working on the game for more than 2.5 years to get to this point. In our opinion, this is the closest thing we have ever made to an escape room, starting with a simple shoe box concept.
Having overcome all challenges, we are now ready to share this special co-op experience with you. Previously, in our devlogs, we discussed the challenges we encountered making this game, including the fact that it was our first 3D project, we moved from Flash to Unity, and it was our first cooperative puzzle game.
It would not have been possible without the fantastic team of people who worked on this project. In order to produce Rusty Lake The Past Within, we had to expand our small team to almost 20 people. Once you've finished the game, be sure to thank each of them; their names are listed in our credits. We are grateful to Martijn van Buul & Luuk Waarbroek, our core development team, for overcoming every obstacle.
Maarten Pelders, our 2D artist, and Bart Wiltenburg, our 3D artist, expertly adapted our 2D style to 3D. It was not surprising to see Victor Butzelaar create yet another masterpiece with the game's music despite all the challenges. The sound design by Jorick & Gilliam of Driftwood Audio has exceeded our wildest expectations.

Thank you so much for your unwavering support! Rusty Lake The Past Within is obviously different from what we've done before, and we haven't released anything new for a while. It may not appeal to everyone in our community, but we hope you can share it with someone you believe would appreciate experiencing it with you over time.

- First time in the Rusty Lake universe, players will see their surroundings in two distinct dimensions, 2D and 3D.

- The game has two chapters and takes two hours to complete on average. We recommend playing the game again from the other viewpoint for a full experience. Our replayability feature gives you the option of restarting with a fresh puzzle solution.
