The Past Within is exclusively a cooperative game. The game must be downloaded to each participant's device (a smartphone, tablet, or computer) and a means of communication must be provided. Play with a friend or find a game partner on our official Discord server!

Cross-platform:You and your chosen partner can play The Past Within on any platform, including PC, Mac, iOS, Android, and (very soon) Nintendo Switch, as long as you can communicate with each other.
Playability and replayability: The game consists of two chapters and is typically played for two hours. To get the full experience, we recommend playing the game from the opposing perspective again. Moreover, our replayability function allows you to start over every time with a new answer.
