A population data, identification, and electronic authentication application developed by the National Population Data Center - Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam is called VNeID.
The VNeID application is for people living and traveling in Vietnam.
The VNeID application replaces traditional documents, identifies citizens in the digital environment, provides utilities for developing digital citizenship, digital government, and digital society, and assists citizens in declaring medical reports and domestic travel declarations quickly. The application also assists authorities in tracing secondary COVID-19 infections and notifying people in a timely manner.
Access rights: When using the Application, the User agrees to allow the application to have access to the following functions:
The user's device can access the Internet
Scannable QRcodes on the CCCD card help shorten the time it takes to enter the basic information of citizens and scan the QRcode at the scanning point for quick travel and medical declarations.
Access photos, videos, audio files, and files on the device to store QRcode images for checking at citizen checkpoints.
Notifications are sent to the user's device.
Data collection: Users enter data, declare medical information about domestic travel, or declare on behalf of another person with that person's permission. Information about individuals includes their full name, phone number, citizen identification card, gender, year of birth, permanent address, nationality, health status, place of departure, destination, vehicle license plate, and exposure to people infected with COVID-19. By filling out forms and submitting them to us, all information is collected with the user's consent.
When it comes to using and inputting information, users are solely responsible for their behavior.
The National Population Data Center, Ministry of Public Security, will store and secure user data, which can only be used for COVID 19 epidemic prevention, helping to protect health and prevent epidemics, and will not be used for commercial purposes or violate privacy rights. To better prevent the COVID 19 epidemic, data can be shared with Health Authorities and other competent authorities.
The application developer does not collect and use user information for any other purpose besides those listed above. According to Vietnamese law or application policies, we will not disclose any information that may damage or violate the privacy of users.
VNeID does not collect location data.
Anonymity: People join communities anonymously. It is only competent authorities who can identify infected individuals and people suspected of being infected due to close contact with infected individuals.
How to Download and Install VNeID APK:
- Download VNeID APK from the official website or Google Play Store.
- Your device settings should be set to allow "Unknown sources.".
- The APK file needs to be installed.
- Play the game and have fun.
