The newest exhibit in our Key Gallery is Hitomi Four Seasons. In a stunning collection, on display January 1-27, 2017, artists capture the different color palettes of Niseko's four seasons through Irodori, or "Four Seasons of Niseko"-themed photographs.
While Niseko is quiet after the winter ski season ends, Hitomi has seen some of nature's most beautiful moments year-round. "Everything turns green in spring. In summer, all flowers bloom. In autumn, leaves change colors."
A photographer explains, "I hope you can feel what I feel in these moments through my photos."
She fell in love with Mount Yoti's natural beauty during her first winter season at Niseko after being born and raised in Aomori, Japan. This is her second winter season at Niseko. It's been almost five years since Hitomi began interacting with nature through photography. Her photographs of Canada's landscapes and animals were taken before she came to Niseko.
